BEGINNER PRACTICE

Beginner practice is where we learn to skate. First, we warm up by skating the track. Then we stretch our muscles so that we do not hurt them while we skate.

Next, we practice our proper skating form, so that we can skate better. We put that form into motion by going in "small circles". Then we all skate on the big track, taking turns going at our own pace - we call this a "pace line". Finally, we race for fun and to test our skills.
